  IT´S TRADITIONAL TO WEAR SOMETHING GREEN ON ST PATRICK´S DAY

ST PATRICK´S DAY is celebrated on 17 March. It is named after  Saint Patrick (circa AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saintsof Ireland. It began as a purely Christian holiday and became an official feast day in the early 1600s. However, it has gradually become more of a secular celebration of Ireland's culture.

Wear something green to school today (or even Thursday 18th).

Who knows? It might bring you luck...

Carnival ended on Shrove Tuesday (16th Feb)and Lent began on Ash Wednesday, 17th Feb.
